Archive Display Cabinet
The large glass-fronted display cabinet is located outside the Founders' Library, in the McIsaac Building.
Amongst the exhibits are a very old cream striped blazer and matching cap; a navy striped blazer and cap; the Jack Hobbs signed cricket ball and pictures; a sword which belonged to Lindsay Paddon Row who was a pupil in the 20s and 30s; an OBE which is also believed to have belonged to Lindsay; photographs and a presentation key from the opening of the school hall in 1935; WW2 Missing In Action telegrams sent to an Old Rydeians' family; 1920s memorabilia relating to a former pupil and Governor John Hinge; also previously unshown photographs of the Founders, Mr & Mrs McIsaac.
Matthew Matsumoto-Prouten MBE, (pupil 1980 - 1988)
The photographs of Miyako, Yamada and Ofunato were taken by Matthew and show the devastation caused by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
